The Rev. Gregg Plott, Pastor
If you are planning to be our guest at McKendree for the first time.
What should you expect at McKendree?
You may expect to fellowship with us as we worship on any given Sunday. It is probably easiest to enter through the front doors of our sanctuary when you arrive where you will be greeted by someone who can answer any questions you may have. Our service is a blended service of traditional elements, yet with a contemporary feel. You will have an opportunity to meet new, friendly people and make lasting connections. We know you will feel welcomed into the family at McKendfree. Nothing is required, there is no expectation for you to bring anything but yourself and your family. Dress is generally casual
Who are we?
We are unashamedly United Methodist, putting into practice what we confess to believe. Open Hearts, Open Minds, Open Doors (the slogan of our denomination) We have a doctrine and a practice of GRACE. Yet our congregation is made of life-long Methodists, Baptists, Presbyterians, Catholics, and those who have never attended church before. We welcome people from all walks of life to join us in fulfilling our mission of loving God and serving people. Our service is at 9:30 AM on Sunday mornings, followed by Sunday School (small groups) for all ages.
Where are we?
We are located on the Maiden Highway about 4 miles north of Lincolnton within sight of the interchange of 321 and 321 business (exit 28) at 3537 Maiden Highway Lincolnton.
What about my Children?
Our church welcomes people of all ages. We have a Nursery available for infants and toddlers during worship services. However, if you feel more comfortable, feel free to keep your babies with you. As an aside, please do not be concerned about having to get up for a bathroom break during the worship service. It happens all the time -- really. Bathrooms can be located by exiting behind the Choir, turning left at the bottom of the ramp. Children from Kindergarten to 3rd Grade are encouraged to leave the sanctuary after Children's moment to go to Children's church..
